Liang Xueyong's Dino Bowl, a ceramic cat feeding bowl inspired by dinosaurs and designed for comfort and convenience, has won the Bronze A' Design Award 2025 in the Pet Care category, following its exhibition at The ONE Pet Show in Hangzhou in April 2024, recognizing its unique blend of playful aesthetics and practical functionality.

The Dino Bowl, designed by Liang Xueyong and his team in Hangzhou, reimagines the traditional cat bowl by merging whimsical design with thoughtful functionality. Inspired by the relationship between cats, their owners, and feeding rituals, the bowl's cylindrical, slanted form and integrated stir stick evoke the playful silhouette of a dinosaur, making it both a conversation piece and a practical pet accessory. The product was first showcased at The ONE Pet Show in April 2024 and has since garnered attention for its innovative approach to pet care.
Crafted from high-temperature fired ceramics, the Dino Bowl features a double-layered rim to prevent deformation during production and ensure durability. The bowl's slanted angle is ergonomically designed to provide cats with a more comfortable eating posture, addressing a common pain point among pet owners. The integrated stir stick, cleverly designed as the dinosaur's spine, allows users to mix canned cat food easily and can be conveniently stored in the bowl's rear insertion hole, always returning to the correct orientation regardless of how it is placed.
Research conducted by Liang Xueyong's team revealed that most pet bowls on the market lack both distinctive design and user-focused features, particularly the inclusion of a stir stick for mixing food. The Dino Bowl addresses these gaps by combining visual appeal with enhanced usability, making feeding time easier and more enjoyable for both cats and their owners. The product's unique design and practical features have been recognized with a Bronze A' Design Award, underscoring its contribution to improving the everyday lives of pets and their families. The design is patent-pending under Suzao Union (Hangzhou) Technology Co., Ltd.
